الأهداف: الكشف عن درجة تقدير معلمي اللغة العربيّة لممارساتهم لمهارات تدريس القراءة في ضوء دراسة "PIRLS" في محافظة اربد.

المنهجية: تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يصف الظاهرة كما هي في الواقع، ومحاولة تفسيرها، وتحليلها وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (220) معلم ومعلمة من معلمي اللغة العربية، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة. أعد الباحث استبانة مكونة من (33) فقرة، جرى التحقق من صدقها وثباتها.

النتائج: وبعد تطبيق الدراسة وجمع البيانات وتحليلها، أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة تقدير معلمي اللغة العربيّة لممارساتهم لمهارات تدريس القراءة في ضوء دراسة "PIRLS" جاءت مرتفعة، وأظهرت النتائج أيضًا عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائيّة في درجة ممارساتهم لمهارات تدريس القراءة في ضوء دراسة "PIRLS" تعزى لمتغيري: المؤهل العلميّ، وعدد سنوات الخبرة.

التوصيات الخاصة بالدراسة: وفي ضوء النتائج قدم الباحث مجموعة من التوصيات من أهمها توجيه اهتمام وزارة التربية والتعليم لمهارات تدريس القراءة في ضوء دراسة "PIRLS"، وإجراء المزيد من الدراسات الوصفية بالإضافة إلى الدراسات التجريبية في تدريس مهارات القراءة في ضوء دراسة "PIRLS".

The degree of appreciation of Arabic language teachers for their practice of teaching reading skills in the light of the "PIRLS" study in Irbid Governorate.

Objectives: To reveal the degree of appreciation of Arabic language teachers for their practices of teaching reading skills in the light of the "PIRLS" study in Irbid Governorate.

Methodology: The analytical descriptive approach was used, which describes the phenomenon as it is in reality, and an attempt to interpret and analyze it. The study sample consisted of (220) male and female teachers of the Arabic language, who were selected in a simple random way. The researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (33) items, whose validity and reliability were verified.

Results: After applying the study and collecting and analyzing data, the results of the study showed that the degree of appreciation of Arabic language teachers for their practices of teaching reading skills in the light of the "PIRLS" study was high, and the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of their practice of teaching reading skills in the light of the study " PIRLS" is attributed to two variables: educational qualification and number of years of experience.

Study Recommendations: In light of the results, the two researchers presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is directing the attention of the Ministry of Education to teaching reading skills in the light of the "PIRLS" study, and conducting more descriptive studies in addition to experimental studies in teaching reading skills in the light of the "PIRLS" study.
